John Coltrane International Jazz and Blues Festival

The John Coltrane International Jazz and Blues Festival was first envisioned by a group of John Coltrane supporters in High Point, North Carolina in 2009. This group, The Friends of John Coltrane, set out to honor the legacy of this great performer in the city in which he was born. The first festival was held in 2011 and has continued growing in both magnitude and popularity each year. The festival has hosted an amazing array of talent including: Branford Marsalis, Robert Randolph, Esperanza Spalding, Spyro Gyrya, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Poncho Sanchez, Al Jarreau, George Benson and Boney James to name just a few.
