Elon University School of Law, Greensboro NC
Challenge:
Elon University’s new Law School required state-of-the-art technology to achieve their desired result, which was to implement coordinated Audio/Visual systems throughout the Law School Building – including their courtroom – that could be fully controlled and monitored from one central point. In addition, all systems had to have the capability to teleconference to and link from room to room for remote viewing of court cases, used as part of graduate student instruction.
Solution:
Audio & Light designed and installed a suite of professional equipment throughout the building, with control capability possible either locally by a professor or remotely from the central control room. Cameras mounted throughout the building can link the courtroom to classrooms or link classroom to classroom for internal and external conferencing. Extensive and comprehensive use of professional Crestron control and computerized audio systems enables simple operation of very complex systems.
Success:
The Elon University staff, visiting lawyers and judges have been amazed at how this advanced presentation technology has improved their ability to communicate, because this complex system is so easy to use. Visiting lawyers need no instruction on system use, as the Crestron touch panel control system leads them through any audio-visual task they attempt. Elon is very proud that this system is able to remove the worry of using advanced presentation systems, allowing the lawyers to concentrate on trying their cases, not their patience!
